Our Resource Information and Support Centre is a welcoming place where you can access a wide range of information from our library. Operated by a rostered pool of volunteers, it is open to the general public, family/whanau, students, health professionals and other interested groups. We have articles, pamphlets, videos and other resources on mental health, related disorders and disability. Information on social support services and agencies located in the Wairarapa, nationally and internationally is available.

We Offer

• A range of resources in English, Te Reo and some Pacific Island languages
• A library of information and reading material on mental health and disability
• Pamphlets on agencies offering social services
• Access to a local directory of social services in the Wairarapa
• On-site internet access to obtain information on mental health, disability, consumer support and other relevant subjects
• Videos and DVDs on mental health and parenting, with comfortable viewing facilities and staff available to provide guidance with watching
• Information on government services
• Information on educational and training courses
• Facilities for people studying mental health and/or disability
• Information on legal, human rights, privacy, health and disabilities

Support Groups are run at various times during the year.

• Peer Support
• Family and Whanau Support
• Post Natal Depression

Location and Inquiries

Our Resource Information and Support Centre is at 323 Queen Street in Masterton, opposite the local information centre and main Tranzit bus depot. We are open 10:00am to 3:00pm, Monday to Friday.
